The semi-annual golf tournament of the Lynchburg Association of Investment and Financial
Advisors (L.A.I.F.A.), which was recently held at the Poplar Grove course in Amherst, raised
$1,000 for the Free Clinic of Central Virginia. This contribution will be used to defray general operating costs at the clinic. The two organizations will combine to present two golf
tournaments in 2005.
DENTAL DENTAL, INC awards $10,000 Grant to FREE CLINIC
President George Levicki of Delta Dental has announced that their Foundation has given a
$10,000 grant to the Free Clinic of Central Virginia. In his announcement, he stated that indigent dental care in the Commonwealth of Virginia is a "top priority" for the company. The donation will be used to defray operating expenses in the Free Clinic's daytime dental program. This program offers dental exams, dental hygiene services, restorations, and extractions in cooperation with Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry students and twenty five Central Virginia volunteer dentists.
