Mrs. D.W. Harrington Supports Clinic About seven or eight years ago, Mr. & Mrs. D.W. Harrington began making annual contributions to support the operating budget of the Free Clinic. After Mr. Harrington passed away in 2005, Mrs. Harrington continued this support. With a recent gift of $10,000, the family has now contributed almost $100,000 to the clinic. Because every dollar donated to the Free Clinic in 2007 provided over $10 worth of health care services to the uninsured and underinsured in Central Virginia, they have provided almost $1,000,000 of medical, dental, and pharmaceutical care!!! Thank you, Patricia Harrington!!!! |

Free Clinic Receive VCU School of Dentistry Recognition The Free Clinic has just completed a five years of a “forever” partnership with the VCU School of Dentistry to provide student externs to give dental services to its patients. This “Award of Appreciation” for “Outstanding Care, Community Service, and Clinical Education” was presented on April 12 at Virginia Commonwealth University. The model used by the Free Clinic of Central Virginia was the first of its kind in Virginia and the United States. It has now been copied and/or adapted at many other sites. |
