Retail Merchants Association Gives $3,000 to the Free Clinic of Central

The Retail Merchants Association has awarded a $3,000 grant to the Free Clinic of Central Virginia, Inc. The money is intended to assist the clinic with their general operating budget in serving patients with chronic illness such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
The Free Clinic has been able to get a $5 return in medical services to its clients for every $1 donated in 2002. This support will help reach the 21,000 uninsured individuals in Central Virginia.
