FREE CLINIC OBTAINS SUPPORTThe Free Clinic of Central Virginia, Inc. has recently received several very helpful gifts. In July, Mr. Roland Peters, Executive Director of the Retail Merchants Association, delivered a $1,000 check to support the MedsHelp Program, which has been incorporated into the clinic's array of services. The Lynchburg Association of Financial and Investment Advisors (LAIFA) sponsored a Golf Tournament at Poplar Grove in Amherst that raised $2,500 for general operations. Finally, in September, the Cardiology Associates Practice made a $2,500 donation to the Free Clinic in honor of Karen Simonton, who has joined Orthodeic Associates, another division of Medical Associates of Central Virginia. All these gifts will greatly help under and uninsured Central Virginians.
