FCCV GIVES ITS SURPLUSES TO OTHERS

The Free Clinic of Central Virginia (FCCV) has given support to other medical clinics in Virginia, the southeastern United States and around the world in the past 12 months. It has shipped its surplus medical and pharmaceutical supplies to Free Clinics in Virginia as well as had them transported to storm devasted and/or poor clinics in Mississippi, Louisiana, Haiti, Uzbekistan, Thailand, and other third world countries. These donations have totaled over $50,000 in overall value since November 2005.

The FCCV has regularly sent its excesses to other Free Clinics throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia since 2002; these clinics are not as fortunate as the FCCV in the receipt of "in kind" donations from their local communities. Beginning with two large shipments of medical supplies valued at over $20,000 in November 2005 to the Gulf States, the FCCV has extended its aid beyond Virginia's borders too. In Spring 2006, it provided medical supplies through a third party that were shipped to Port Au Prince, Haiti and Andijon, Ubekistan. In summer 2006, the FCCV supplied surplus medications to clinics in Biloxi, Mississippi in August and Gulfport, Missisissippi in September.

These gifts totaled about $15,000, and they were delivered by mission groups from here in Central Virginia.
The FCCV's policy is to "help others", whenever it can!
