FREE CLINIC BOARD NAMES TWO NEW MEMBERS

The Board of Directors of the Free Clinic of Central Virginia, Inc has named two women to serve as new members on this body. Peggy Berger, a retired professor in consumer science at Colorado State University, moved back to Central Virginia to be near her sister, Ida Powell and other family members. Ms. Berger has volunteered on special projects at the Free Clinic and is a member of Peakland United Methodist Church. Mary Jane Pryor served as the Manager of Prevention Services at the Central Virginia Community Services for many years. She and her husband, Charles, left Lynchburg for a number of years, but they returned to the area in 2004. Both of these new members have a myriad of experiences and expertise to add to the Free Clinic.

The Board of Directors has also re-elected five out of six officers for 2005-2006. They are: President - Abigail Haney; Vice President - Kathryn Mays; Treasurer - Stuart Turille; Past President - Augustus Petticolas; and Medical Director - Dean Gianakos. James Wright was elected Secretary for 2005-2006.
