FREE CLINIC RECEIVES GRADT

The Centra Health Foundation has awarded a $4,000 grant to the Free Clinic of Central Virginia, Inc. This grant will be utilized to provide assistance to asthma patients as part of the clinic's chronic disease initiative.
In the first six months of 2003, the Free Clinic has provided $6 in services for every $1 donated. This is achieved as a result of pharmaceutical donations, direct support from Centra Health, and the "in kind" volunteer services of several hundred local physicians, dentists, pharmacists, and other medical providers.
The Free Clinic continues to need financial assistance to meet the needs of the "working poor" without health insurance of any type in Central Virginia. Please send your support to 1016 Main street, Lynchburg, 24504.
