FREE CLINIC’S 2010 VOLUNTEER AWARD CEREMONYRecently, the Free Clinic of Central Virginia held its annual Volunteer Award Ceremony at the beautiful home of Dr. Bill & Priss Riley. Although the clinic recognized all of its wonderful volunteers with this event, some individual awards were also presented.
Receiving the Joseph A. Levine Award for dentistry were Dr. David Riley and Dr. Patrick Todd. Dr. Levine was a seventeen-year Free Clinic volunteer and community activist for indigent care, who caringly provided services to those in need in Central Virginia at a number of sites. Pharmacist, Nadine Gilmore, was the recipient of the Gabriel Linn Taliaferro Award. This award is named for “Lin” Taliaferro, a sixteen-year Free Clinic volunteer who just recently “retired” from his service with us at the age of 83.
