$30,000 Added to Free Clinic Endowment Fund
As part of the Free Clinic of Central Virginia's 20th Anniversary in 2007, a major effort is being made to increase the total funds in the Endowment Fund.
Approximately $30,000 has been donated for this special purpose in the last few months. When this amount is added to an already existing fund of about $80,000 that is within the Greater Lynchburg Community Trust, the total Free Clinic endowment will now top $110,000.Two anonymous leadership gifts of $10,000 (friend of the clinic) and $5,000 (FC Board member) have provided 50% of this significant increase in the Endowment Fund. Other designated donations have ranged from $20 to $2,000 from friends and/or long time supporters of the Free Clinic.
The current campaign for these specific funds will not be concluded until June 30, 2008. Individuals interested in adding to this principal may send their donations directly to the Free Clinic at 1016 Main Street, Lynchburg 24504.
